Deep thoughts in simple words :)

Just finished uploading photos onto my upcoming entry draft. Picture post, long one.
Lazy to narrate and hype up for that post right now, so here I am.

Have been mugging quite abit, not too efficiently though.
Only finished 2 chapters in 3 days. And have been eating ALOT. fml. :(
The reason to why i hadn't been productive lately is because I spent half of my public holiday out with my bestie!
It had been so long since both of us hung out. We were so bz we didn't even meet up for lunch in school on recent Wednesdays. But thanks to MITJU 70% sale, I managed to date the busy prospective Elle Magazine intern out for a dinner and shopping trip.

It felt really comforting to know that your long-time girlfriend is leading a happy life now and everything has settled down nicely. The friendship went through some rocky times in the past. Thinking about how we got close and open up to each other, i can only conclude, that true friendship is hard to come by. I'm blessed.

Anw, I had been thinking a lot lately, doing a lot of self-reflection and having spontaneous gushes of emotions overwhelming my soul from time to time. In fact, i do this quite often, especially when I'm alone without company. i.e. shower time, late night mugging session.

I thought through how I've changed gradually, inside out.
Not only has my temperament toned down, my exterior has toned down too.
i.e. make up, girlfriend told me i look rosier and not so fierce already.

I thought about my 47month-turning-4year relationship.
I still regard it as an asset, an achievement, a blessing and somewhere i can keep learning at our own pace and comfort.

I thought of the individuals who have personality issues which i used to suffer from but learn to let go eventually.
I learnt the meaning of cherish and the merciless forward-moving nature of time. I hope they learn it soon too.

I experience the luxury of knowing how to let go and managing deep thoughts.
Self control, discipline, distraction, I learnt how to smile. Smile more from deep down.
In fact, I enjoy being the now-me. :)

It has been quite evident what all these lessons have gained me. Only 4 months into the year and hey, I've grown. I'm not as self-centred as i was anymore. It was a genuine change cos it was totally not effort-demanding. Like a breeze, so relaxing. :) I gained trust, respect, friendship, hearts of friends, security, recognition and support.

I thought about my future too, but deviated from there cos I'm still living in denial that I'm supposed to graduate soon. Just wishing that I've enough time to finish the search on what I've missed out and what I hadn't internalized and learnt.

It's late. Before I end off, I need to pen down some goals here and be determined.
Stop spending money on wants. The overspending problem is getting out of hand.
My weight is 49 now, my aim is to lower it down to healthy-looking 46?
I'm giving myself 6 weeks. Regime starts tmr, 8/4/2012.

Let your world be filled with love, and gain as many smiles as you can the next moment after reading this post ya? It's worth the effort and emotional resource. :D

Nights people!

Ziwei

i know this short post doesn't do all your support and love for me justice, but i can't contain this sense of gratitude towards all of you in the midst of my intensive revision for my last midterms tmr morning. <3 yall much!

Thank you bee for being there for me always too. <3 <3

Friends, count your blessings too. Unimportant people obviously don't matter.

Back to mugging.

Things I look forward to after Monday's midterm test

Just finished scanning through all my notes for emotions midterm test on Monday. Note: scanning through only. :( Can't wait for it to be over!

I am dying to

  1. Undergo 1-week intensive exercise regime with CK best bro for life for the entire of next week to prepare the body for Emerge 2012

  2. Seek for more interested people to join me for Phuket + Bangkok retreat + shopping trip in May + make reservation for flight tickets and hotel stay.

  3. Do another recording which i had promised to release during recess week

  4. Organize another fleamarket sale

  5. Concentrate fully on perfecting my Emerge item

  6. Purchase a better camera (any recommendation?)

  7. Secret

Have been unproductive for the entire day today due to the cortisol-induced failure of immune system. In other words, I'm down with flu and runny nose, with a potential fever coming up because of the immense stress i have experienced for Emerge and midterms.

Need to crash now.

Hearts.

P/s: I have opened up my tweets to public as you can see on the sidebar! i hope i won't regret this decision. PEACE!!

Twitter? Internship?

Hi March, look what I found in the fridge. :3

I guess I'm still blogging here quite sanely despite the many backspacing and slow finger movement under the influence of the master above. (I seriously think only music and a dance floor can do justice to this feeling. Hmm)

Ok anyway, I'm supposed to do a blog review on the Loreal Paris Youthcode Essence. But I'm too tired right now for a review of quality.

Just some stuff up in my mind these few days, in the recent weeks.

I'm considering opening up my twitter account to public so that my friends who don't own a twitter account know that I'm still alive and kicking despite my status-silence on facebook. At the same time, I think my tweets have toned down alot in terms of Bitchology. So, they probably won't affect that greatly any friends/acquaintances out there (anymore). I truly think that I'm in almost 90% control of my abrasive, direct nature style of tweeting alr. Obviously, there'll be some girls out there who are just too good at getting on my nerves. But yea, I'm in control. Chill. Thirdly, I thought it'd do my blog good if i make my twitter account public cos i seriously think that some of my tweets are interesting. (referring to the retweets of friends and famous tweets out there). Of kox, i'll have to deal with the stupid spams and strangers' remarks on my tweets. Hmm. Still in the midst of consideration. Should I or not? Maybe give me some advice?

Another decision that I've slowly come to is that I will most probably not take up an internship this coming 3-month break. I remember one of my CCA-mates/friends telling me that when we graduate, we're gonna start work and continue working non-stop for the following 40+ years onwards, might as well cherish the 3 months of time and commitment luxuries and enjoy life now while we're still schooling. That I'd agree, cos I am quite sure i'll be able to get a decent-paying job with my degree, major and the nature of the industry I'm interested to go into. :/

This 3-month holidays, i aim to spend more time with my family. I'll bring them out for family days and dinners more often than now, as well as spend more effort in tutoring my bro for his sec 1 academics. I'm planning to purchase more recording equipment and do more recording. Basically, I want to work on this blog. Not for fame, but for "personal development" (Sounds like the self-actualization stage of Maslow's hierarchy of needs i learnt in Psych) + to entertain my friends. :D Ofkox i'm looking at getting constructive criticisms to improve on. 2012 has been an awesome year of learning and gaining for me thus far and I'm being optimistic about March and onwards. :)

Really tired. Before I end off, just a quick question. Did anyone use this correction tape when you were in primary school!? The price has inflated unfortunately, but i haven't seen it around for a daaaammmnmnnn long time. Found it at Duyi Bookshop at West Mall. :D

May everyone have an exciting and productive March. :D Work hard and play hard. :D

Most importantly, love yourself and the ones who are worth your love more this March. :):)
(For me, I'm referring to my friends and family.)

May all do well for their midterm tests, project presentation and exams! <3

*Scape fleamarket sales

Firstly, I wanna thank Baohui and Rach from T5 for helping out + sharing rental cost for my 2nd fleamarket sales organized by Flock to shop.

Bad location with not-good-enough crowd today even though the area our booth was situated at was air-conditioned.

Sold a few items and wasted the entire day setting up/helping out for R & B's the shift/doing sales and getting distracted by the pretty gals and clothes from the next booth.

Nonetheless, had a super exhausting but fruitful time being a salesgirl once again. This time, instead of selling clothes for my ex-boss at Holland V, I was helping myself, my partners and other "stakeholders" promote our items. It's an entirely different kinda experience cos I'm earning for MY own booth, working towards an overall target I personally set for the shop. In addition, I was the main organizer for this flea, so i kinda learnt more about time management, partners negotiation/communication, logistics, admin, splitting of work, contacting of "sponsors"/other girlfriends who wish to deposit their items at the booth at a reasonably cheap rate, recording of sales.

I didn't accomplish everything by myself though. I want to thank bee for helping me with all the manly manpower he provided me with to and back from *Scape. Thanks Baohui for being so punctual and the "price tags". Thank you Rach for the table cloth and rushing back down from Changi to help pack up the booth. Thank you Kelly, Lianne, Yawen and Nadya for being shareholders for the booth even though the crowd traffic was quite disappointing,

ONE REGRET. I WAS SO SUPER BZ THAT I DIDN'T HAVE THE TIME/CHANCE/MENTAL CAPACITY/PHYSICAL STRENGTH TO TAKE PHOTOS. WTFWTF. T.T

Nevertheless, congrats to The-Hodgepodge on their decently good sale at the Sky terrace today!

I'd like to give a short review on my organizer, Flock to Shop.

I think alot alot more could be done on publicity. Most of my customers didn't know there was another bazaar on the 2nd and 4th level, which explains for the lack of good crowd. About 3-4 tables at the air-conditioned area (Level 2, outside Sakae Sushi/Kbox) were not occupied - another proof that even publicity to vendors wasn't adequate. When Leo, Baohui and I went upstairs to look for the organizer to register for our booth, she was nowhere to be found. In the end, she did not even take attendance for my booth. The entire 4th floor was disorganized and messy as vendors were free to shift their tables and chairs to whichever part of the Sky terrace that they liked. Worst thing is that the crowd that we have was 1/10 that of the open-air bazaar organized by ScapeBazaar. Despite the risk of a downpour, I think it's still more worth it to set up a booth in the open area outside Scape.

Anw, after the flea, Mr Mah, Leo's dad brought us to TGIF @ Heeren and treated us to dinner. As usual i didn't have much.

Mushroom soup shared between Leo and I.
Rich and creamy, but 8.90++ :/

Stuff mushrooms.
Yummy but small serving. 7.90++

This is the main dish. One pint all to myself. 13.90++

Had an enjoyable time chatting w Mr Mah about sho many things - his crazy biking days, getting drunk at the bus stops outside Butter factory and waking up to the Monday clusters of office ladies/men staring at the 17-yo delinquents - like father like son. Tsk. 2 hours of chitchat session (at the expense of my already insufficient midterms revision time) to find out that his dad is really knowledgeable, hilarious and young-at-heart. :) Bee also claimed that his dad is one true opponent at pool that he enjoys playing against. ;) Like father like son, part 2.

Alright time to sleep and get enough rest for the tuition marathon + adole psych mugging marathon tmr.

Nights. :)
